RX Bandits - Republic guitar tab
"Republic" - RX Bandits
just like all songs off The Resignation, this song has improv going on, this time i tried
to show some more of the changes,
but still, treat this tab like a jazz chart, its just the road map, its up to you on how you
want to play it.
Key: G#m (B Major)
pm=palm mute
/=slide
*=scrape fingers and pick along the strings
NOTE: anytime something is in brackets, [ ], it means that that section changes sometimes.
whatever is in parenthesis within
the brackets is what it changes to on those times. either part is acceptable during that
time.

HORN INTERLUDE:
on the record matt improvises the horn interlude with the B Major scale. im going to leave
this interlude up to you, the
player, to interpret and have fun with. from what ive seen, live, he plays the same thing
he does for the verse.
B MAJOR SCALE:
E|--------------------------6-7------------------------2-4-6-7|
B|----------------------7-9----------------------2-4-5--------|

E|7-9---------------------------------------------------------|
VERSE TWO:
on the record, for the first half of the second verse matt plays the same thing as the first
but a little less consistant
in the quarter notes and with some delay and flange effects. for the second half, when
the groove relaxes a little, he
improvises the same way he did in the horn interlude. from what ive seen, live, he plays
the first half the exact same way
as the first verse and then switches to something like this:
verse2:
