This is your basic one-four-five blues riff in B (as I believe the
Yardbirds played it; The Bangles rock it in the key of C live, and since
I'm such a heavy Bangles fan, I'll tab it as such.)
I'm Not Talking (Bangles live version)
Tabbed by Jack Snipe (epinSkcaJ[at]yahoo[dot]com)
(I hold no responsibility for errors caused by misalignment of script
by the computer.)
>Chord swells at the beginning: F, C
>Then the main hook riff starts out:
(C)
-------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------
--------10----10_8-------------8----10----8---10-------
------------------p-----10-----------------------------
---8---------------------------------------------------
(play 4 times)
(F)
-------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------
--------10----10_8-------------8----10----8---10-------
------------------p-----10-----------------------------
---8---------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------
play twice, go back to C and repeat then:
G#, G, C......G#,G
>(no chord) I'm not talkin'(C)
>And that's what I gotta say.. (G,G)
>(F) I know what you're doin'............ruin
>(C) That's one thing I can do without.(C, with riff)
>Same thing repeats for each verse, except before 'no chord', you play
the quick G#, G instead of the slow ones.
>Go to F for solos, then back to C
Then G#, G, C.....G# G, >I'm not talkin' etc....
>and the same chord swells are played at the end: F, C.
Well, those are the basics. The chords are played as basic bar chords.
I'm working really quickly because it's my lunch break and as a result
I might have left something out. If there are any questions or if you
need any help with this, e-mail me at epinSkcaJ[at]yahoo[dot]com.
Happy Strumming!
