This song sounds between F and F#, but is notated here in G. I think they
recorded
it in G and slowed the tape down to its released state. They probably did
not
detune their instruemnts, because they could not have very well detuned a
celeste
and a piano. To play along, you'll want to tune between F and F# (but closer
to F#).
The guitar solo is a little hard to hear because of all that's going on, so
the tab
here gives you a general idea that you can elaborate on if you wish. It will
give you
a pretty good idea, though.
By the way, I just started listening to the Velvet Underground (& Nico)
about a month
ago for the first time -- what a great band/album!
