Tool

Tool - 4 Degrees2 guitar tab

I can't believe nobody tabbed this song yet. Well, anyway,

I'm not the master at it, and I don't have the book,

but this is what I've found out from screwing around late

at night. And it's really late now, so I'm going to be incredibly

lazy about this and not give you the solo or the pre-chorus.

Drop-D tuning

INTRO:

Clean guitar. Strum really, really hard. Put your tone selector

switch on treble to get those clangy overtones that make it

sound a little bit like a sitar.

VERSE:

Distorted, with lots of palm muting

A--------------------------------------------------3--

D----2-2---2-2----2-2-2-3-2-0-2-2-2----2-2----2--2-3--

As for the pre-chorus part, where he goes, "You won't feel

what you like to feel," I can't help you out there. It's

probably simple, but it's hard to get a handle on the pitch

because he runs it through some weird effect. The chorus is

just the intro section again, lightly distorted.

BRIDGE:

Distorted, strummed lightly

e---------------------------------------------

B---------------------------------------------

G----9--9--9----7/9--12--11---7----9--9--9---- etc.

D----9--9--9----7/9--12--11---7----9--9--9----

A----7--7--7----5/7--10--9----5----7--7--7----

D---------------------------------------------

Have fun with this song. It's really great, and it sounds good

acoustic or electric. It's absolutely amazing how many different

kinds of sounds he can get out of the guitar with the same basic

chords! Anyway, I'm going to bed now. Keep on rockin'.
