White Stripes give Icky Thump details
The White Stripes have revealed that their sixth studio album is nearing completion.
The Detroit duo have titled the record "Icky Thump", and they've even given reasons for chosing this name on their website: "their first album to include a title track, which curiously (and not ironically) has the same words in it’s name. Though some residents of Northern England might almost recognize the title, The Stripes stress they are spelling it wrong intentionally just for “kicks” and “metaphors”, and to avoid a possible lawsuit from the estate of Billy Eckstine."
The much anticipated follow-up to Get "Behind Me Satan" has been mixed and recorded it in Nashville, Tennessee's Blackbird Studio but so far has no release date. They noted: "We are doing our best (whatever that is) to release the album as soon as coporately possible".
Also they have given the titles of six songs that feature on the realease that are as follows:
'Catch Hell Blues'
'Little Cream Soda'
'Rag And Bone'
'Clicky Bump'
'You Don't Know What Love Is (Just Do As You're Told)'
'I'm Slowly Turning Into You'
