The Stones Get Censored At Superbowl
The Rolling Stones performed in the half time at this year's Superbowl and some of their songs have been censored.
It seems that songs like 'Start Me Up' and 'Rough Justice' contain lyrics that were too sexually charged to be
broadcasted.
The cut lyrics to 'Start Me Up' were "You'd make a dead man cum" while the cut lyrics from 'Rough Justice' were: " Once
upon a time I was your little red rooster/now I'm just one of your cocks".
The only song that made the show without being censored was their well know hit '(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction'.
Network ABC broadcast the show with a five second delay. According to the BBC website, the song cuts had been made by the
US National Football League (NFL) and its producers.
The censorship has been seen as fallout from 2004's Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction", when her right breast was
exposed during a performance with Justin Timberlake and apparently shocked everyone watching.
