According to the AP, 27-year-old Grammy Award-winning hip hop artist T.I. (real name Clifford Harris) was set free in federal court after posting a $3 million bond on Friday. "I look forward to getting this (case) behind me and we move forward," he said, dressed in a pale gray suit, and throwing up victory signs to around 20 cheering fans as he emerged from the courthouse in downtown Atlanta. Judge Alan Baverman ordered T.I to remain under house arrest at his home in Henry County, Georgia, and submit to having his precise where-abouts monitored both electronically and by a private surveillance company. T.I.’s girlfriend and Ex-Xscape member Tameka "Tiny" Cottle would be allowed to reside at the house. Other visitors were permitted under a series of conditions and T.I and the property would be subject to random searches. "You are going to be under home incarceration that is going to be governed by an active GPS (Global Positioning System) at your cost," Baverman reportedly told T.I., warning him not to have any contact with potential witnesses in the case. The judge also said T.I. was free to find appropriate work and his lawyers said he would work at a music studio in his home. On Oct. 30, T.I. is scheduled to do various media interviews to promote his starring role in the Denzel Washington/Russell Crowe flick 'American Gangster,' which opens nationwide Nov. 2.
