Like Suicide

Tuning:

D

G

D

G

B

C (tune the string down to C)

4/4 count

Intro Riff:

C---------0-------0-|-------0--------0-|

B-------0-------0---|----0--------0----|

G-----2------2------|-2--------2-------|

D--0----------------|------------------|

|********|

Then, at the spot highlighted by stars, Guit. 2 comes in with this:

(Verse Riff)

G--7\6/9-|-7--|--6b(8)r6--|--\2--|--/4b(6)r4-|

D--------|----|-----------|------|-----------|

G--7\6/9-|-7--|--6b(8)r6--|--\2--|--/4b(6)r4-|

D--------|----|-----------|------|-----------|

C------0-(0)---|------------|

B-----0-----0--|------------|

G----0-------0-|------------|

D--5-----------|-3-/5--5----|

G--------------|------------|

D--5-----------|-3-/5--5----|

Note that this riff is mirrored by Guitar 1 after the first bar. (It

has to finish the

inro riff) As soon as this riff is finished, Guitar 1 plays the intro

riff again. So, the whole pattern is as follows...

Intro riff (Guitar 1)

Verse riff (Guitar 1 and 2)

Intro riff (Guitar 1)

Verse riff (Guitar 1 and 2)

Intro riff (Guitar 1...directly to prechorus)

As if that weren't tricky enough, here comes the pre-chorus

Guitar 1--Prechorus

C-------------|---------------------| |----------|----------|

B----7--------|---------------------| |---7------|---7------|

G--------7----|-------------7---7---| |-------7--|-------7--|

D--0---0---0--|------------0---0----| |----------|----------|

G-------------|---------------------| |-5---5----|----------|

D-------------|---------------------| |----------|-5---5----|

And my last ditch... (2X) (Once, then

Intro Riff)

Guitar 2--Prechorus

G--11/12-/14-12-11--|-/17--16/17--14-12--|

D-------------------|--------------------|(Three times)

G--11/12-/14-12-11--|-/17--16/17--14-12--|

D-------------------|--------------------|

And my last ditch...

G--/17--16--14\12-11--|-9--/11-11----|

D---------------------|--------------|

G--/17--16--14\12-11--|-9--/11-11----|

D---------------------|--------------|

Remember: Timing is difficult to emulate via e-mail, so note that each

bar is 4 counts.

Chorus (Both Guitars, played twice)

C------------0--------|----------0-------|------------------|---------------|

B----------0---0------|--------0---0-----|------------------|---------------|

G--------0-------0----|------0-------0---|-------0----------|---------------|

D-----12--------------|---12-------------|----12----------0-|---------------|

G--10--------------10-|-9--------------9-|-10---------------|-9----11-11----|

D---------------------|------------------|---------9---10---|-10---12-12----|

She lived like a murder how she'd fly..so sweet----ly

After you play that twice, strum the four highest strings lightly and

let ring. Then begin the second verse with the Verse Riff, skipping the

first Intro Riff.

When you play that last chord after the 2nd chorus, twist volume knob

up...

"Escalation" Riff (Cheesey, I know) played by both guitars

G--7--6--/9-|-7--------|-6br6----\-|-2-----|-4br4----------|---------------|

D--7--6--/9-|-7--------|-6br6----\-|-------|-----------5---|-7-7----x--5---|

G--7--6--/9-|-7--------|-6br6----\-|-2-----|-4br4------5---|-7-7----x--5---|

D--7--6--/9-|-7----(0)-|-6br6----\-|-0-----|-3-------3-3---|-5-5----x--3---|

G----------------|--------7--6--/9-|

D--7-7----x--5---|-7-7----7--6--/9-|

G--7-7----x--5---|-7-7----7--6--/9-|

D--5-5----x--5---|-7-7----7--6--/9-| Repeat three times

(omit this 3rd time)

Pre-Solo Riff (both guitars)

G--11-/12-14--17----|-16--14-12-/17----|-12-11-12-/14-12-11----|

D-------------------|------------------|-----------------------|

G--11-/12-14--17----|-16--14-12-/17----|-12-11-12-/14-12-11----|

D-------------------|------------------|-----------------------|

Play this 3 and 1/2 times, but don't ask me what to do at the last 1/2.

I have no clue.

Then comes the solo, capped off with two more turns at the chorus riff

played by one guitar, while the other guitar adlibs with feedback.

I recommend the following effects: delay, set on very quiet doubling;

reverb; and wah-wah for the solo.
