There aren’t any real defined chorus’ and bridges’ what not so I’ll
give them names myself. The two acoustic guitars strumming 16th’s
opposite each other along with the djembe or conga’s in the background
give a deceiving “very very fast strum pattern.” They both strum fast
but it only sounds impossible. Concentrate
on getting the main rhythm and then throw in the 16th’s... the double
time strumming that is heard. This is my best attempt at a great song
by two great guitar players so it won’t be perfect but it sounds pretty
good.
Verse:Guitar 1 plays D, Asus, G5, Asus
Gutiar 2 plays Dadd9, A/D, G7/B, A/D
Bridge: Both guitar’s play Bm, Asus x2
the chorus and verse are interchangable so it won’t confuse you they
just have different lyrics.
verse:
What have I done? To get me here, Unraveled an undone I need my father
bridge:
What have I done? I followed my feet to nowhere. Now I’m here As I
ran I can run no more.... Prodigal Me
chorus:
The mountains to the west, I hear them laugh at me
They know I’m scared to cross and leave this life I lead
bridge:
Oh my pride I give you up a barter for my freedom
What will they think as I come stumbling down
To join their lives
chorus:
I need to cross this mountian and find my way home
I seek no greater fortune, rescue me
Oh unmerciful divide be merciful tongiht
Oh show me the other side... Prodigal Me
verse:
The mountains to the east, they’ve swallowed my beloved This is is
mostly incomplete, where is my mortar?
bridge:
Where did he go? He followed his feet to nowhere
Please come home, you’ve done me no wrong
verse:
Each evening I look down that road and I hope and I wait for you
And my servants they look down the road
And we watch and we pray for you
bridge:
Master, Master who’s that man stumbling down our road?
Could it be the one? Could it be the one? Could it be could it be
Master, Master it’s Your son!!! Coming home to join our lives
chorus:
I’m looking down this mountain and I see my way home There is no
greater fortune...I believe
Oh unmerciful divide you laugh at me no more
Oh I’ve reached the other side... Prodigal Me
bridge:
Could I be the one? Could I be the one? Could I be could I be
Father, Father we’re your sons coming home to join your Life
chorus:
We’ve finally crossed this mountain and found our way Home We seek
no greater fortune...than Jesus
Oh how merciful is our God who gave His only Son
Oh we worship You tonight
Prodigal Me
