School Of Rock - School Of Rock (with Hints) guitar tab

School of Rock Jack BLack + co tabbed by Luke Hutchings

==============

Intro

Guitar 1 (for best results use fingers)

(performance note:

(To make the intro sound just like the original, you WILL need

to use two right hand fingers, literally pinch the strings, keep the notes

staccato (short), and finally, the accents should be well executed -

these are indicated by the ^ and should be noticably louder than the regular notes)

1|-------------------------------------

(Chords): D E (E,F,F#) G D

D E G*

*On the last G above theres a typical lil blues riff that goes

5|--5---5-7---5-7-----5---5-7---5-7-----5---5-7---5-7-----5---5-7---5-|

6|--3---3-3---3-3-----3---3-3---3-3-----3---3-3---3-3-----3---3-3---3-|

Guitar Solo (Use verse chords for backing)

(improvise in B blues/pentatonic)

Note: Although this song is in D, the solos are

in the relative minor, which is B, for that mellower country-like effect,

so just slide down 3 frets from where you'd normally improvise in D.

This is a trick found in many many songs, in future,

where ever you normally improvise your blues licks,

try them 3 frets down, you maybe pleasantly surprised, or sometimes

it may not always work so well, but go ahead and experiment, that's what musics all about!

-Verse 2

-Chorus x2

-Intro again

-Verse 3 (spoken)

-Guitar solo 2 until end (improvise B-blues again)
