This song is tuned a full step down to D, G, C, F, A, D
There are at least 2 acoustic guitar tracked on the studio version.
I think it's even possible Alex had only the acoustic guitar(s) tuned down
& the electrics tuned standard on the studio cuts.
During LIVE performance, Alex uses a modified Godin guitar, with dual outputs (piezo & electric).
Since the studio recording has multiple and overlaping guitars, this
transcription has been arranged for one guitar (electric with acoustic
sounding capabilities) as if it were being performed live by one guitarist,
as on The Test For Echo Tour.
Alex's effects sound in the sections after the acoustic parts & at the end of the song,
are meant to sound like Scottish Bagpipes. Pretty cool! Reminds me of "In A Big Country"
from the 80's
