Rihanna Heads Back To School With Circuit City, Singer Eyed For TimbalandÂ’s Shock Value 2
Just in time for "back to school" season, Circuit City has tapped Rihanna for it's fall campaign. Starting next week, Rihanna's new single and video "Disturbia" will be used in new ads for the electronics retailer. The singer who recently released "Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded" will also be seen across Circuit City print ads this summer and fall. "This time tends to be stressful time for parents. The idea of leveraging technology to stay in touch with friends and family while away at school is in line with how Rihanna does things on her tours," says Troy Yenser, category marketing manager, Circuit City. In addition, a mobile offering, available on circuitcity.com, will let users download a free voice tone of the singer and exclusive wallpaper images. The singer will also participate in an online chat on August 20. In related news, Timbaland is ready to record the second installment of his "Shock Value"album and Rihanna is one of the artists he is keen to work with. Timbaland's "Shock Value," released earlier this year became an instant hit spawning the singles "The Way I Are" and "Give It To Me." The heavyweight producer says he would also like to collaborate with Beyonce, Jordin Sparks and Hip Hop star T.I. on the LP according to MTV News.
