Rem - Half A World Away guitar chord
#
From: Scott A. Yanoff
HALF A WORLD AWAY
{intro: Am G D Em }
{on this song, Peter plays pretty much straight chords. On the
Am chord, you can hear the note being hammered on to the D string
(second fret) in rhythm with the song. If you don't know what I'm
talking about, just play Am}
A D7sus2 looks like this:
(E) -0- I could have called it an Am(add D) since the low A
(B) -1- is in the bass note I believe. However, It leads into
(G) -2- a G chord, and musically, a D is what you'd want to
(D) -0- call it.
(A) -0-
(E) ---
>
{notice that the majority of this song follows the pattern:
G / D / Em / Am D7sus2 It's really cool how the progression
starts out on Am but in the middle of the song, the verse starts
pretty much on G.}
