R&B Singer Rell Arrested For Drug Trafficking

According to reports, R&B singer Rell, best know for “Love For Free” featuring Jay-Z off the ‘Streets Is Watching soundtrack,’ has been charged with drug trafficking, after being arrested in a drug bust in South Carolina on Wednesday (Mar. 30).

The former Roc-A-Fella Records crooner - real name Wilbur Gerrell Gaddis - was arrested along with two other men after authorities intercepted a package containing 50 pounds (22.6 kilograms) of marijuana.

All three men were charged with conspiracy to traffic marijuana and are currently being held in Orangeburg Calhoun Detention Center, where they are awaiting a bond hearing.

Rell was the first R&B star to be signed to Shawn 'Jay-Z' Carter's Roc-A-Fella Records in the late nineties and is presently recording with Carter's former business partner Damon Dash's label, the Damon Dash Music Group.
