R. Kelly Shoots ‘Skin’ Video, New Album Set For Late Fall
R. Kelly appears to have no interest in toning down his latest effort "12 Play 4th Quarter." The recently acquitted R&B singer is confirmed to be shooting a video for the second single from his forthcoming album entitled "Skin" this weekend. Following the leak of three new songs including "Screamer," "At the Same Time," and "Two Seater"the singer's team is said to be pushing up the promotional push for the highly anticipated album. Reminiscent of Kelly's record breaking 1993 album "12 Play," each song regales listeners with salacious tales. According to Billboard, the vocoder-led "Screamer" finds the singer describing a secret sex session in a crowded house while trying his best not to alert his company. On "At The Same Time," Kelly croons about reaching his carnal goals over guitar plucks and a double bass drum. Reclaiming his rapping skills on "Two Seater," Kelly bounces over the cut's electronic bops and screwed-up chorus while reminding fans of his financial stature. R.Kelly had released "Hairbraider" as the first single earlier this year however, with the singer's trial and acquittal on child pornography charges the track stalled at no. 56 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart. "12 Play 4th Quarter" is slated for release late fall 2008.
