Posten on: 2008-10-16 14:29:01

Onesidezero's upcoming European tour, alongside Adema and Re:Ignition, has been cancelled due to personal reasons within the Adema camp. Of course we're all bummed out, but Tiefdruck Musik, our German label, our manager, and Onesidezero have worked really hard to make this happen," commented drummer Rob Basile. "We're not looking at this as a complete cancellation, but an opportunity for all bands to regroup and reconvene at a later date. We're still hyped to get there!" "While Adema, Onesidezero, and Re:Ignition will not be fulfilling the February and March '08 dates scheduled in Europe, we have intentions to revisit these tour plans sometime in the near future," added Onesidezero manager Shawna Morey. "Tiefdruck-Musik, Onesidezero's European label, has been very supportive of all artists involved, and we're looking forward to a long lasting relationship and all overseas touring opportunities to come." Corporate Punishment is extremely proud to announce the addition of Los Angeles based ONESIDEZERO to their growing roster. The band is currently in the studio working with producer Ulrich Wild (Static-X, Stabbing Westward, Taproot) on their untitled sophomore album, which is slated for April 3rd, 2007 release by Corporate Punishment. "We are all very eagerly awaiting the release date to get this record out in the hands of our fans," says Onesidezero guitarist Levon Sultanian. He just came in to our studio and just listened and didn't try to change us, but take us further into making what we had greater. This time around I went back to my roots as far as song writing. Back to the Metal, Classical, Blues and all the good stuff my parents raised me on. Our old fans will still feel the classic Onesidezero vibe, yet, we will be reaching out to wider audiences as well." ONESIDEZERO released their Maverick Records debut Is This Room Getting Smaller in 2001, which produced Active Rock singles "Instead Laugh" and "New World Order". Subsequent US tours with Incubus, 311, Soulfly, Soil and Static-X made them an instant fan favorite. While taking a brief hiatus during which guitarist Levon Sultanian and vocalist Jasan Radford joined forces with Mikey Doling (Snot, Soulfly), Roy Mayorga (Soulfly, Stone Sour), and Marcello Diaz (Soulfly) in LA Alt-Metal supergroup ABLOOM. Onesidezero guitarist comments on resistance to recognize Armenian Genocide

Posten on: 2008-10-16 14:29:01

Los Angeles based Onesidezero guitarist, Levon Sultanian, has commented on the Bush administration's recommendation to Congress to reject legislation that would declare the World War I-era killings of hundreds of thousands of Armenians as genocide. "Genocide still exists. We saw it in Rwanda (1994) and we see i in Darfur today. The only thing worse is when a mass killing of a nation is NOT RECOGNIZED as a GENOCIDE, like the Armenian Genocide," says Sultanian. "The Bush Administration is worried that the passing of the Armenian Resolution and recognizing the mass killings in 1915 of 1.5 million Armenians will badly damage the American-Turkish relations and U.S. interests in the Middle East (Iraq and Afghanistan). How distorted is our government's priorities? Are financial stakes more important than recognizing and acknowledging injustice against humanity? The Armenian Genocide happened; it is a reality in the history of mankind. Honest Turks like Orhan Pamuk, Nobel Peace Prize winner, acknowledge the Armenian Genocide and had the balls to ask that all Turks accept this dark historic reality."
