Omarion and Pal Bow Wow Teaming For Joint Album
Are ready for the best of both worlds teen style? R&B heartthrob Omarion will be teaming with the hip hop prince Bow Wow for a cooperative album project, which is set for release later this year.
"Me and O have been trying to put this together for so many years, and now we've got the opportunity to do it," Bow Wow tells Billboard.com. "We're in the creative process right now, still trying to come up with a title and everything. Me and him are coming up with ideas daily, so the process is gonna go real smooth. We're anxious to get in the studio together and make this whole thing happen."
Bow also tells Billboard that he expects the resulting album "to be an event" when it's released. "I'm not even calling it an album," Bow Wow says. "It's gonna be a special event. It's gonna be crazy, something the people have been waiting on -- the girls have been waiting on -- for years."
In 2004, Omarion was featured on Bow Wow’s hit single "Let Me Hold You." The two have also partnered on past Scream tours.
"He's one of my best friends," Bow Wow says of Omarion. "So any time you get a chance to work with somebody you're best friends with, it's not even gonna be like work. It's gonna be like working with family."
