Chris Stokes, Marques Houston, Omarion
On the Heels of his $50 Million blockbuster "You Got Served" writer-director Chris Stokes is now filming the teen horror flick "Somebody Help Me," starring multi-platinum selling recording artists and teen heartthrobs Marques Houston and Omarion. Filming began on the outskirts of Los Angeles this past weekend.
The edge-of-your-seat horror film promises to reinvent the genre popularized by modern day classics "Friday The 13th," "Nightmare On Elm Street" and "Scream." The screenplay centers on characters Brendan Young (Houston) and Darryl Jennings (Omarion) who take a trip to Lake Arrowhead with a group of college friends to celebrate Young's girlfriend's birthday. One-by-one the coeds begin disappearing until a mysterious young visitor arrives and helps them begin to unravel their tangled web of terror.
The film was written by Stokes and produced by Juanita Charles and Annette A. Howard. Ketrina "Taz" Askew serves as Executive Producer. "Somebody Help Me" is Stokes' third feature following the countless music videos he directed including those of the wildly successful multi-platinum selling boy bands B2K and Immature/IMX. In addition to grossing $50 Million in worldwide box-office, "Served" has become one of the most successful home videos sold in the 2004-2005 season.
