Nickelback Plan Summer Tour
Nickelback continues to build on an impressive touring resume with a mid-summer North American tour that is part of the group's ongoing support for 2005's multi-platinum "All The Right Reasons," according to liveDaily.com.
The Canadian rockers will hit 19 cities during the outing, kicking off closer to home with a June 28 appearance in Bay Roberts, Newfoundland, the first of a pair of Canadian shows that will also feature Staind, Finger Eleven, Buckcherry and Hedley.
Nickelback is coming off a busy year of touring. Named winner of the Breakthrough Artist award at last fall's Billboard Touring Awards, the group sold more than 800,000 tickets last year, according to industry trade magazine Pollstar, ranking them as the sixth highest selling artist of 2006.
Released in October of 2005, "All The Right Reasons" debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 chart after moving about 317,000 copies during its first week in stores. The disc has gone on to sell more than 4 million copies in the US, and has spawned six No. 1 rock singles - "Photograph," "Animals," "Savin' Me," "Rockstar" and "Far Away"--according to Roadrunner Records.
"If Everyone Cared," the latest single from the album, reached No. 1 on Billboard's Hot A/C chart in early May. The single was recently selected to appear on the 24th and latest installment of the "NOW! That's What I Call Music" hits-compilation series.
