Nickelback

The hard-rock band Nickelback is going down in Canadian history, receiving a permanent spot in Toronto`s Walk of Fame.

The band, along with seven other Canadians, is being inducted to the Walk of Fame Saturday in Toronto, the Toronto Sun reported Monday.

Nickelback is also planning to attend the MuchMusic Video Awards Sunday, where they have five nominations.

Not that front man Chad Kroeger would complain about a busy schedule.

'We are four lucky bastards,' he said. 'Not a day goes by that I dont wake up and think, Im thankful to be able to play music for a living. And to be heard.'

The seven other Canadians being inducted into the Walk of Fame this year are Catherine O`Hara, Lloyd Robertson, Rick Hansen, Jill Hennessy, Gordon Pinsent, Johnny Bower and Ivan Reitman.
