Nickelback Announce A New Headlining Arena Tour
One of the world's most successful touring acts, Nickelback will embark on a North American headlining Arena tour from February 18th through March 19th with Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin as support. For information about tickets including pre-sales, please log onto www.nickelback.com. The tour will swing through markets such as Seattle (WA), Chicago (IL), New York (NY), Philadelphia (PA) and more and will be the band's final tour in support of All The Right Reasons.
All The Right Reasons was released in October 2005 and has sold over four million copies in the U.S. to date and spawned the No. 1 hit singles "Photograph," "Animals," "Savin' Me," "Rockstar" and the newest smash "Far Away." Number one has been a common phrase in to Nickelback's career. Starting it all off for this album campaign was the No.1 debut on Billboard Magazine's Top 200 Albums Chart the week it was released. After 55 weeks on the Top 200 Albums Chart, the album is still in the Top 20, selling close to 60,000 units a week. There are five No.1 singles off the new album and each of the songs that had a video went to No.1 on Vh1's Top 20 Video Countdown. Online, Nickelback has sold over three million individual tracks to date off of All The Right Reasons.
Nickelback has spent the better part of 2006 touring the world in support of All The Right Reasons. According to Pollstar Magazine the band has sold 800,000 tickets since January 1, 2006, the sixth highest amount by any artist in the entire world.
On November 21st the band will be attending and presenting an award at the American Music Awards in LA, where they are among the most nominated artists, nabbing three nominations. The categories the band is nominated in include: Album of the Year for All The Right Reasons, Best Band or Duo, and Alternative Artist of the Year.
The continued growth of Nickelback is a success story built on the road, on the radio and, above all things, by great rock songs. The band's 2003 release, The Long Road, is certified triple platinum, and bore several rock, modern rock, and pop radio hits including "Someday," "Figured You Out" and "Feelin' Way Too Damn Good." The album also earned the band three Grammy nominations, six Radio Music Award nominations, and one American Music Award nomination. Nickelback's previous album, Silver Side Up, reacted immediately upon release in 2001, spawning three No. 1 singles including "How You Remind Me," "Too Bad" and "Never Again." The album achieved multi-platinum status in the U.S. (six times platinum), racked up four Grammy Award nominations, four Billboard Awards and four Canadian Juno awards. The album's first single, "How You Remind Me," was the No. 1 Most Played Song of 2002, across all formats, according to Billboard Monitor. Nickelback is singer/guitarist Chad Kroeger, bassist Mike Kroeger, guitarist Ryan Peake and drummer Daniel Adair.
