Ne-Yo Says His New Album Is All About Diversity, Plus SingerÂ’s Collabo With NKOTB Set For Release
Ne-Yo says being a gentleman requires diversity, which the singer has plenty of on his latest effort ‘Year of the Gentleman' due out September 16th. After a series of push backs the "Miss Independent" crooner feels he's found something for everyone and is ready to unleash it to the world. "It's a little bit of alternative, a little bit of pop, a little bit of rock," he told MTV News this week. "I basically stepped outside of my comfort zone and I came up with something that I can honestly say is for everyone. In addition to his production partners Stargate, Ne-Yo collaborated with J.R. Rotem for the first time. Rotem, who has worked with Britney Spears and 50 Cent holds quite a catalog of hits including Rihanna's "S.O.S.;" Rick Ross' "Push It;" and Sean Kingston's "Beautiful Girls." In related news, Ne-Yo's collaboration with New Kid's On The Block entitled "Single" has been set for release August 12th. The track which joins New Edition and Pussycat Dolls collaborations with the group will be featured on their new album "The Block," due to hit stores September 2nd.
