Update: Jackson To Perform "Thriller" In Comeback Show
Michael Jackson will perform his 1982 worldwide hit ?Thriller? in a rare public appearance at the World Music Awards next week, according to concert organizers.
The king of pop will receive a Diamond Award, given to artists who sell more than 100 million albums, at the Nov. 15 ceremony in London.
Jackson has spent time in Bahrain and Ireland since he was acquitted of child molestation charges in June 2005, making few public appearances.
"Thriller" won eight Grammy Awards and became one of the best-sellers of all time, selling over 50 million copies. Along with the title track, the album includes "Billie Jean" and "Beat It."
Lindsay Lohan is scheduled to host this year's event at Earls Court Arena with performances by Beyonce, Mary J. Blige among others.
The annual awards show select winners based on the strength of their worldwide record sales.
