Is Michael Jackson Forced Into a Comeback by His Debts?

Michael Jackson

Pop superstar Michael Jackson has reportedly been forced into reviving his music career because he is struggling to pay off his spiraling debts. The singer - who is said to be working on a new album with rapper/producer Will.i.am - will release a 25th anniversary edition of his hit 1982 album Thriller and is said to have signed up for a series of live shows in London. Jackson is believed to have struggled to pay off debts of over $300 million, which were racked up following his 2005 court case which saw him cleared of child abuse charges. Sources say Jackson has recently been living rent-free with his three children in the Palms casino in Las Vegas as a guest of the Maloof brothers. The Maloofs would be the latest hosts upon whom Jackson has mooched, following Prince Abdullah of Bahrain, dancer Michael Flatley and Prince Jefri of Brunei. The former is suing Jackson in the U.K. for $7 million. The star could earn $30 million if he signs up for a one-month residency at the O2 Arena, which will consist of 30 live concerts.
