Maxwell Set to Re-capture His Fans This Fall (Updated)

Maxwell

After a long hiatus from his fans, R&B soulman Maxwell will head out on the road this fall, beginning Oct. 8 in Boston and running through Nov. 21 in Philadelphia, reports Billboard Maxwell, who has not released an album or toured in over six years, is still in the studio working on his long awaited three-part follow-up, "Black Summers' Night." No release date has been set for the project. The most recent details about "Black Summers' Night" came last September, when Columbia urban music exec Kyambo "Hip-Hop" Joshua told Billboard that "Maxwell's still working with Sade's band, his tried-and-true team. He took some time off and now he's ready." Joshua added, "He's recorded so much material that he's got a couple of albums done." Last Sept (07) Maxwell uploaded a snippet of "Pretty Wings" on his MySpace site, the singer's first communication about new music since announcing the "Black Summer's Night," on the site in October 2006. He also made his first major appearance in recent memory at the BET Awards in June, performing "Simply Beautiful" as part of an Al Green tribute.
