In this song and many others by Matt he uses a capo but he puts it on backwards.

To achieve this sound you need to have a Kyser Capo because it is the only one t

hat

works right upsidedown. You put it on the second fret so it only covers the A,D

, and G

strings forming an Esus. The capos are only like 12 bucks or so and they work g

reat, so

i suggest you pick one up if you wanna play lots of Matts songs.

like a big stretch, but its realativley easy with the capo.
