Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent and Others Eyed in Steroid Scandal
A steroid scandal that stripped tittles from world class athletes like Marion Jones, could hit some of the music industry’s biggest stars, including Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent and Timbaland. The Times Union of Albany made the revelation, saying the entertainer’s name came up in connection with an Albany-based steroid investigation. Citing unidentified sources, the report alleged R&B queen Blige, rapper 50 Cent, producer Timbaland, Wyclef Jean and Why Did I Get Married producer and author Tyler Perry may have received or used performance enhancing drugs. Albany district attorney David Soares launched his investigation into steroid trafficking last year. Law-enforcement officials have said evidence does not indicate the celebrities broke the law. For now, officials are focusing on the doctors, pharmacists and clinics providing the drugs.
