R&B Singer Mario Smarter Than The Average 20 Year Old, Album in Stores Aug. 21

Mario

Ever wonder why R&B singer Mario’s highly anticipated sophomore effort ‘Go’ has been delayed? Singersroom’s Gary ‘Jus Music’ Gentles caught up with the “Let Me Love You” singer in a two part interview and stirs up discussions about the reasons for the delay, relationships, and just life in general. On part one of the interview, 20-year-old Mario talks about contractual problems with his previous management and how he overcame the challenge. “I am more fulfilled and happy with my life than I’ve ever been” says Mario. He then moved on to talk about the importance of protecting your self no matter how comfortable the situation feels. While most fans see Mario as a clean cut and quiet person, he reveals how the challenges in his role in ‘Freedom Writers’ paralleled some of the obstacles he faced while growing up in Baltimore. “They were faced with a lot of different problems in their homes and I experienced that too growing up in Baltimore – not racism per say – but as far as family having drug problems, I seen it and grew up around it,” states Mario. Mario also describes his past relationships and how other women hit him with kryptonite. Regarding his last girlfriend, Mario says “I love you [my girl] but I have friends…she wasn’t trying to hear that.” On part two of the interview, Mario spoke about his Stargate produced hit single “How Do I Breathe” and why he chose that song as the first record. He then went on to talk about the artists and producers featured on the project, including his newly formed production company Knight Writaz Entertainment.
