Mariah Carey’s Former Manager Says She is Refusing to Pay Him

R&B singer Mariah Carey is under the microscope for an alleged unpaid debt. A former manager is claiming that the “We belong Together” star is refusing to pay him the balance due on services rendered as president of her MonarC Entertainment, reports the New York Daily News. Jerry Blair says he was the man "who helped Mariah make history when she achieved her record-breaking 15 [No. 1] singles and most consecutive weeks at [No. 1]," according to a 2002 announcement of their now-defunct label. A source tells the newspaper: "Jerry stood by Mariah through her breakdown. He believed in her when other people lost faith." But when Carey bounced back and soared to new heights, "she ditched him," a friend of Blair claims. "She wanted to distance herself from anybody who saw her in those dark times." Blair alleges their agreement calls for Carey to fork over a portion of her record and tour profits, according to sources. "She hasn't paid him in two years," says an insider. "He had to call in lawyers." Source: Eurweb.com
