Mariah Carey's highly-anticipated forthcoming album is entitled "Sweet Soul Odyssey" and it's earmarked for a December release via Def Jam Records. The follow-up to "The Emancipation of Mimi" is expected to boast collaborations from Jermaine Dupri, Bryan Michael Cox (Mary J. Blige, Faith Evans), Johnta Austin (Fantasia, Monica), Stargate, Nate "Danja Handz" Hills (Nelly Furtado, Leona Lewis), Terius "Dream" Nash (Nivea, Rihanna), Kasseem "Swizz Beatz" Dean (Jennifer Hudson, Angie Stone) and Will "Will.I.Am" Adams (Nicole Scherzinger, Kelis). Raheem Devaughn, the self proclaimed R&B-Hippie-NeoSoul-RockStar, is releasing is second album “Love Behind the Melody” on November 27th. The lead single “Woman” pays respect to every mother, daughter, sister and girlfriend. Raheem is currently performing on the Heineken Red Star Soul concerts. Soul vocalist Toni Braxton revealed on the Montell Williams Show that she's currently in the midst of recording her new album, and it's expected to be released around March 2008. The as yet untitled LP will be the follow-up to "Libra,” which was released in 2006 via Blackground Records.
