KILLSWITCH ENGAGE guitarist ADAM DUTKIEWIC has failed to recover from back surgery in time for the band's European tour.

The flamboyant axeman underwent an emergency operation in February (07) - and was hoping to be back in time to perform a string of gigs across the continent this year.

But he reveals, "I'm pretty bummed that I won't be able to make it across the pond (Atlantic) and indulge in the fine brews and meat sandwiches of Europe this summer. I really need to get further rest, drink more protein shakes, and flex in the mirror while listening to Night Ranger." Former Damageplan member Pat Lachman is stepping in for Dutkiewic.
