Kelly Rowland’s ‘Ms. Kelly’ Pushed Back to July 3
Former Destiny's Child beauty Kelly Rowland has hit another bump in the road. The R&B singer's eagerly-waited disc 'Ms. Kelly' has been pushed back again; at least it's not a year this time. Originally scheduled for release June 26th, the album is set to outfit stores July 3rd.
According to reports, the delay was made to avoid debuting on the same date as 50 Cent's upcoming album 'Curtis.'
'Ms. Kelly' Features production from some of the most innovative names in the game -- including Polow Da Don, Sean Garrett, Tank, Scott Storch, Rockwilder, SoulShock and Karlin, and Billy Mann -- as well as guest appearances from Eve (Like This) and Snoop Dogg.
"I really put my heart and soul into this record," Kelly says of this album. "Not only am I excited that everyone's going to hear the music, I'm looking forward to people getting to hear the real me. That's the reason I called the album Ms. Kelly. Because the title is all about respect, being an adult and that's how I feel about my life, and my music. I know it's kind of a cliché to say, but Ms. Kelly really is the album I was meant to make."
As one third of Destiny's Child, one of the best-selling female musical groups of all time, Kelly Rowland has brought the sound of her voice to millions of fans. Her debut solo album 'Simply Deep' was well received by fans and critics alike. Simply deep featured plenty of guest appearances & some of the best R&B writers in the world. Let's hope Kelly provides us an album to compete with her first.
Most recently, Kelly Rowland may be seen as celebrity spokesperson for the "Dark & Lovely" hair product line from Soft Sheen-Carson (consumer products division of L'Oreal USA, Inc.).
