Kansas - Lonely Wind guitar tab
One of my Kansas favs from the first album "Kansas". Definitely a piano
song, but sounds OK on guitar. Would probably be even better on 12 strings
. . . .
Any improvements, please let me know.

LONELY WIND
Steve Walsh (c) 1974
Performed by Kansas
A D A
When I'm needin' a friend I can talk to the wind
D A
God I sure am glad that I found him
E A
Sometimes he seems to be the only one beside me
E
Who can feel the Lord's breath all around him
F#m D A
Winter's cold frozen ice or a bright autumn day
G D E
On a warm summer night you can hear him say
A E A D A D E
Cry for me, sigh for me, sad my breezes flow
A E A D A D E
Stay for me, play for me, the song my friends will know
G D A
My lonely wind must blow
A D A
Mighty friend that is mine, can you give me a sign
D A
He'll leave nothing but only to hear him
E A
I've seen the tall trees bend low when his mighty winds blow
E
And that's all the more reason I fear him
F#m D A
Hear him call for the earth lonely I can feel his great pain
G D E
But on the eve of this day I'll join in his refrain
A E A D A D E
Cry for me, sigh for me, sad my breezes flow
A E A D A D E
Stay for me, play for me, the song my friends will know
G D A
My lonely wind must blow
A D A
When I'm needing a friend I'll remember the wind
D A
And my life here with the breezes of sorrow
E A
I'll be leaving him soon 'cause I've got to make room
E
For the lonely that will find him tomorrow
F#m D A
On a black stormy night in your bosom I'll cling
G D E
And I'll know I've found love and the last song we'll sing
A E A D A D E
Cry for me, sigh for me, sad my breezes flow
A E A D A D E
Stay for me, play for me, the song my friends will know
G D
My lonely wind
G D
My lonely wind
G D A
My lonely wind must blow
