This is more of an edit that a submission.
Koichi Matsuda posted a chord progression for Jimmy Eat World's "A Praise
Chorus" and I
noted that it sounded strange with the chords provided and figured out
what was done
different from the way that J.E.W. did it. Here are the changes:
First, you need a dropped D tuning, that is:
DADGBE
From there, it's all power chords baby:
A --> 777XXX
F --> 444XXX
E --> 222XXX
D --> 000XXX
I also never heard the various E's and A's that were on the end of each
line, so I took
those out. Also, in the chorus and the "Crimson and Clover" part of the
song, they are
starting with an A chord, and not a with a D until the very end. Here is
the adjusted
chord progression:
A F
Are you gonna...
A F
Are you gonna...
A
Things are never...
A F
Where's it gonna...
A
Things are never...
A F
Even at 25...
A E F
I'm on my feet...
A E F
All I need is...
A E F E D
I wanna always...
D E A
I wanna fall...
Repeat whole part
Play same chords but different words
A E F A
Crimson and Clover.. Play twice
A E F A
Our House....
A E F A
Don't Don't...
A E F
I'm on my feet...
A E F
So come on Davey...
A E F E D
I wanna always...
D E A
I wanna fall... repeat 3 times
D E F E D
I wanna always...
D (and keep pounding that D all the way til the end)
I wanna fall in love tonight. repeat 3 times.
Just wanted to post that incase there are any out there who couldn't
quite get the sound
on the CD.
