Jesse McCartney Still In Shock Over First #1 Hit
Currently on tour with Jordin Sparks, pop singer Jesse McCartney still remains in shock over his first #1 single "Leavin," the latest single from his R&B flavored album "Departure." "I'm still in shock. It's like going to a Yankee game and catching a foul ball hit by Derek Jeter" says McCartney who contrary to reports is not related to Paul McCartney. McCartney has felt at home with latest album "Departure," a mix of R&B and pop. Growing up on his parents' 45 collection McCartney recently told the New York Post "It had all the classics - James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson. When I got a little older, I started discovering music on my own, and I loved Craig David's 'Born To Do It.'" McCartney's "Leavin" is currently atop the Pop 100 chart and sits comfortably on the Mainstream Top 40 chart.
