Jars plays in an open E tuning on most songs. This interpretation is arranged

for standard tuning.

CHORDS

D5th------ x 5 7 7 0 0

C5th------ x 3 5 5 0 0

These chords have generic names which will be ok for my purposes.

There are more parts to the violin harmony that i haven't figured out. Sounds

good anyway. This is MY attempt at this song. It sounds pretty good to me and

pretty close to the album too. Enjoy!

I hope this doesn't get garbled on your computer. i wrote this with my page

filling the screen. It might get goofed if your screen is a small window.

Please note: I transcribed the previous Flood from memory without following

the music. When I did, i found that it was in the wrong key. But here's the

thing ::: I did some looking and found that JOC uses an open E tuning on most

of thier songs FLOOD uses this tuning (low to high)=E-B-E-G#-B-E. And they

use a Nashville tuning on this particular song. This is when the 4 bass

strings (EADG) are replaced with thinner strings one octave higher. You can

find those in any 12 string guitar string package. I know it's a big change

from standard tuning. I have not taken the time yet to actually do it BUT I

might one day. The chords that are used in the other Flood trancsriptions are

correct, it's just a mattter of finding the right fingerings and voicings for

open E tuning. I;ve been fiddling with these trying to find which ones will

work. IT will tke time i guess. ANYway, the string solo is in the wrong key

too, Here it is in the right key Cminor (standard tuning)

Yes, the chords are weird...the song is in the key of

Eb (I think)- our band moved it up to G- to do this

add 4 to each fret number and change the chords like

so:

Original- Eb? Ab? Ab7? Bb? Cm? Gm? Fm? Cm7?

In G-???? G?? C?? C7?? D?? Em? Bm? Am? Em7

I hope you find this useful (and correct)- e-mail me

at jmshaner@juno.com with comments, complaints,

questions, etc.
