Jaheim

Multi-platinum R&B superstar Jaheim comes up with a big win with “Never” this week as the song grabs the #1 slot on the Urban AC Chart beating out Keyshia Cole’s “I Remember.” “Never” is the first single from Jaheim’s latest CD, The Makings Of A Man, which has sold over 500,000 units since its release late Dec 07. Second single, “I’ve Changed,” which features Cole, is setting up at radio now. In other news, Jaheim’s “Ultimate Jamaica Destination Wedding” contest has received over 2700 entries in its first week! For the contest, Jaheim has teamed up with The Steve Harvey Morning Show, The Jamaica Tourist Board, American Airlines, and Atlantic Records to make one lucky couple’s dream of a destination wedding come true. The winning couple, and 20 guests, will be whisked away to the Grand Lido Braco Resort & Spa in Jamaica for the “Ultimate Jamaica Destination Wedding,” complete with a special performance by Jaheim during the couple’s first dance at the wedding reception. The contest kicked off Monday, March 17 with an announcement on The Steve Harvey Morning Show. Contest entries will be accepted until April 4, and the winning couple will be announced on-air and online on April 18, with the wedding trip to take place July 10 - 16, 2008. Jaheim combines old-school soul with new-school swagger. Like so many great R&B superstars before him, Jaheim has turned the trials and tribulations of inner city life into sweet, soul music. He has 2 platinum-plus and one gold album under his belt, along with numerous award nominations and key wins, including a BET Award for “Best Male R&B Artist.” When he’s not making music, Jaheim gives back to his native Northern New Jersey community with affordable housing initiatives and youth mentoring via The Urban Dreams Foundation which he started in 2005.
