It Dies Today

It Dies Today is currently in the studio working on the follow up to The Caitliff Choir, their Trustkill Records debut which scanned over 65,000 copies in the U.S. In the producer's seat is Gggarth Richardson (Rage Against The Machine, Atreyu) with co-production from none other than the band's guitarist, Mike Hatalak. The Caitiff Choir wowed press and fans alone with national publications like Metal Edge saying "It Dies Today make their mark with guitar crescendos, battering ram drums, and spider-walking bass, setting a new precedent for this most trendy of hardcore and heavy metal fusions." Speaking on the new material vocalist Nick Brooks says "The whole album has very dark overtones. There are tracks that are based on relationships, losing faith, and then regaining it. It's everything that has changed in my life since the last album." There is also song that deals with the quotes of serial killer Aileen Wurnos, of whom the movie Monster is based. Commenting on that song Brooks says "This is one of our catchier tunes, ironically. I took what is known to be her last words and made a song out of my interpretation of them." The album will see a September release, but the band will be playing several of the new songs on their summer of high profile tours.
