"Any contribution is very important for us to be able to complete research projects regarding this serious disease, which affects many young adults," says Kjell-Morten Myhr with the Norwegian Haukeland University Hospital.

The charity concert Cliveaid is about just that; supporting research on Multiple Schlerosis and also teen cancer. All proceeds from the gig goes directly to these purposes. On Friday, March 30th, Cliveaid gos off for the first time ever in Norway.

"We have a solid line-up for the evening, and our eminent friends of Norways biggest radio rock show, Pyro, will be there as MC's,"

says Pål Johansen of Maiden Norway, whom are arranging the Norwegian gig. "The Batallion, Bourbon Flame, Cruel, Kraków, SAHG and Thunderbolt are all doing the gig for free for Cliveaid. Even though the bands represent Metal and Rock music, we hope to see a lot of people we normally don't se on these kinds of concerts – after all, this is about humanity."

Pyro's host Toto Mjelde will be MC'ing during the concert, and will also be DJ'ing through the night after the gig is over.

"We've wanted to go to England to attend Cliveaid for a long time.

Of course, it's easier when they come to Bergen. We're honoured to come, and are really looking forward to the evening," says Totto Mjelde.

"It's important to get there early. The doors open at 8pm and the first band will get on stage pretty quick – and there will be nothing you should miss! Tickets for the gig are already in sale at Apollon Bergen (tel +47 55 31 59 43). There will be an opportunity to get tickets in the door as well, providing there are any left at all," says Johansen.

About Cliveaid:

Cliveaid saw the light of day in 2004 as a one-time gig to raise some money for the original drummer of Iron Maiden, Clive Burr, who suffers from MS. The idea was to help Clive to a better life, and also to show him how much he means to the Rock world. The gig went beyond anyone's dreams, and they soon discovered how many more could benefit from the music scenes support.
