Your rating:

Sorry, but I am posting every one of my chord tabs back up because
I noticed something was wrong with each one of them. So just give
my tabs an ok, and you can have the correct versions of each one
on the site.
Just in case you are not familiar with tablatures, these six
lines represent the following strings on the guitar
|=high e
|=B
|=G
|=D
|=A
|=low E

Here is how to play an "F Minor" chord. There are 3 ways to play it.
An "F" Chord is always composed of 3 different notes as long as
its minor. F, Ab, and C. (b=flat) An F minor chord is exactly the
same as an e minor chord, but barred at the first fret.

1: The basic F Minor Chord
|-1-|-->This is a high F note.
|-1-|-->This is a C note.
|-1-|-->This is the Ab note.
|-3-|-->Here is another F note.
|-3-|-->Here is another C note.
|-1-|-->This is yet another F note in the bass.

2: The E-string "F Minor" Power Chord. This is one of the many
power chords commonly used in rock music. All E-string minor
power chords use this same fingering, so it is important to remember
this fingering. It is also easy to play any power chord because
you will get used to holding your fingers like this. The common
F minor chord is already shaped like a power chord, so in order
to make the F minor power chord without leaving it exactly the
same as the standard F minor chord, we bring it up an octave, to
the thirteenth fret (moving forward or back 12 frets on the guitar
pushes you forward or backward 1 octave).
|-13-|-->This is a high F note.
|-13-|-->This is a C note.
|-13-|-->This is an Ab note.
|-15-|-->This is an F note.
|-15-|-->This is a C note.
|-13-|-->Here is the F found in the bass of the regular F minor
chord, but 1 octave higher.

3: The A-string "F Minor" Power Chord. Any A-string minor power
chord has this fingering as well. That is why power chords are
so easy to play.
|-8--|-->This is the high C note.
|-9--|-->This is an Ab.
|-10-|-->Here is an F note.
|-10-|-->Here is a C note.
|-8--|-->And an F in the bass.
|-x--|-->Dont play this string.

These are the fundamental "F Minor" chords in the guitar world.
 You actually can take any combination of the notes F, Ab, and
C and make an "F Minor" chord out of them. But to tell you the truth,
you will never find yourself using any other combination than
the ones shown here. So good luck, and practice the fingering
of these chords. After that they come naturally to you.
