Green Day

American group Green Day plan to cover John Lennon's classic track 'Working Class Hero' as part of the tribute album Instant Karma.

The earnings from the album will go to Amnesty International's campaign to end genocide in the Darfur region. The campaign was produced under the approval of Yoko Ono.

Instant Karma will feature a lineup of artists such as REM (#9 Dream), Willie Nelson (Imagine), Christina Aguilera (Mother), Black Eyed Peas (Power To The People), The Cure (Love) and Regina Spektor (Real Love).

The album is about to be released in June.
