GODHEAD CARRIES ACCLAIMED ‘THE SHADOW LINE' LIVE SHOW OVERSEAS

Returning from a holiday season break following completion of the thunderous "Congress of Corruption" fall U.S. tour with new Cement Shoes Records (Fontana/Universal) label mates Ill Nino and Ra, post-industrial glam slammers GODHEAD are set to go back on the road and take their riveting live show overseas in January as the main support on SoiL's U.K. tour.

In true holiday spirit, GODHEAD will warm up for its return to British soil by participating in an all-star Toys for Tots benefit, Dec. 15 at the Roxy Theater in Los Angeles, followed by a pre-Christmas L.A. show Dec. 23 at the Viper Room.

The three-week Euro-trek will reach more than a dozen venues in England, Ireland and Scotland, with Brand New Sin and Lennon also sharing the bill. GODHEAD continues to support its acclaimed new release, THE SHADOW LINE, the most melodically potent album of a heralded career that has included several successful movie soundtrack favorites. All Music Guide called THE SHADOW LINE "a good, solid example of post-grunge alternative rock that is commercial and friendly for active rock stations" and the Salt Lake City Weekly said it was simply "amazing."

Hailed by Rolling Stone as "hybrid, nihilistic and tortured, they suck at your soul and get better with every listen," GODHEAD drew praise in concert from Kerrang! on the "Congress of Corruption" tour for their newly unrestrained sound and skillful ability to "walk that fine line between punchy electro-rock angst and melodic radio fodder," while audiences clamored to buy the new GODHEAD CD at every show. The band recently was interviewed on Headbangers Ball Radio and soon will be chatting with Westwood One as THE SHADOW LINE'S second single, "Push," produced by Ben Moody of Evanescence, arrives at radio.

Amid all this music activity, the alter ego of GODHEAD leader Jason C. Miller, as film actor and stuntman, has led to enormous TV exposure this fall - for kids. Miller voices five characters on his latest project, Nickelodeon's hot action cartoon Avatar: The Last Airbender. In fact, one of the characters he voices, Scary Prisoner, was drawn specifically in Miller's image as a tall, muscular, tattooed bald man:

THE SHADOW LINE, the fifth U.S. release from GODHEAD, was co-produced by the band with Ben Moody and Julian Beeston (Billy Idol, Nitzer Ebb), and mixed by Jay Baumgardner (Papa Roach). Joining Miller (lead vocals, guitars) in GODHEAD is Mike Miller (lead guitar), Ullrich "Method" Hepperlin (programming/bass) and new drummer Glendon Crain.

Cement Shoes Records, formed in 2006 by industry veterans Daniel E. Catullo III (President/Founder of Music DVD company Coming Home Studios), Peter Koepke (former President/Partner of legendary London Records), and Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins, seeks to re-establish true artist relationships and development neglected in recent years by major labels. An independent label distributed by FONTANA/Universal, Cement Shoes Records believes the artist comes first and needs to be properly developed through relentless touring and focused marketing efforts to "The Street," where the true music fans are.
