No stopping Gnarls Barkley on UK chart

Gnarls Barkley's long run at the top of the U.K. singles chart has extended into a ninth week, but the run may soon end, thanks to the duo's own record company.

Warner Bros. deleted "Crazy" in the U.K. Monday to prepare the market for Gnarls Barkley's follow-up single "Smiley Faces," which is scheduled for July 17 release.

Both tracks are on the debut disc "St. Elsewhere," which fell three places to No. 8 on the album chart Sunday. The Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Stadium Arcadium" spent a third week at No. 1 on the survey.

"Crazy" also fended off 24-year-old singer-songwriter Sandi Thom, whose first single "I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker" climbed 13 places to No. 2.
