FFX – Opening Theme By Nobuo Uematsu & Mashashi Hamauzu

Submitted by Anthony Arcuicci (ROCK!) anthony@stangnet.com J

This is my work for education and enlightenment purposes only.

I don’t know much about this tune but I can say a few things. One, the

song is in ¾ timing. Two, there’s a ton of arpeggiation that I cannot work

out on guitar, and it can be interpreted and played many ways. A problem

I’m having is finding a way to bring it all together seamlessly without

making certain chord changes seem out of place by changing octaves. So

with that in mind this will stay a loose interpretation with certain voicings

played as single notes to get the ball rolling. I beg for someone follow

up and straighten it out.

OK, I take all that crap back I said up there. It is possible to voice

this on guitar without too much difficulty, you just have to be patient,

think about the notes and hand positions and take your time. I’d be delighted

if someone could accurately finish this tune, this is a lot of work!!

Root notes are in brackets, hold them until the next root note shows up

or until you have to arpeggiate with that finger.
