Music X Bass Tab

"Monkey Wrench" is from the Foo Fighters albumn " The Colour and the

Shape"

Transcribed by Ian ( strawberry ).

THis will be my first attempt at transcribing a song so I hope you

enjoy it. Ive only been learning for 4 months so cope with me as my

tab layout will be a bit weird.(use normal tunning).

Main Riff:

I--------------------------------------------------------

I--------------------------------------------------------

I----------------------------------9-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7

I-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7------------------------

I--------------------------------------------------------I

I--------------------------------------------------------I

I-7-7-7-7-5-7-5-7-5---------------------------------I

I--------------------------------------------------------I

Thats played until dave sings " one in ten" where it changes to;

I-------------------------------------------------------I

I-------------------------------------------------------I

I-7-7-7-5-7-7-5-7-5-7-5---------------------------I

I-------------------------------------------------------I

just befor the main riff slide up from the 7th fret on the A string

and burst in to the chorus which is;

Chourus:

I------------------------------------------------------------I

I------------------------------------------------------------I

I-------9-10-11-11-11-11-11-11-9-7-7-7-9-7-9------I

I-7-7--------------------------------------------------8-7-I

the last bit to tab is just before he shouts" one last thing before I

quit";

I------------------------------------------------------------I

I------------------------------------------------------------I

I-----7-----------------------------------------------------I

I-4------7-5-5-5-5-5-5-2-0-0-0-0-0-2-0-0-0-0-0-----I

And finish up by doing the hammering on and of the 2-0

and slinding up a few times before repeating the main riff.

This should be alright, work out the timing of it by listening to the

song ( and the rest of the albumn as its a killer!) and as I dont

have my guitar in college, dont blame me if ive tabbed it on the

wrong frets!
