Fireflight - Liar guitar tab
Awesome song from the "On The Subject of Moving Forward" EP that made the cut
to the new album. Since there are no fireflight tabs I decided to start the
trend.
Tuning is Drop C#: C# G# C# F# A# D#
Intro:
Guitar 1:
F# --7-7-7-7-7/9-9-9-9-9/10-10-10-10-10/9-9------|

Verse:
Guitar 1:

F# -7- steady -5- -7-
C# -x- strumming -x- -x- Repeat this twice
G# -5- -3- -5-
Guitar 2:
F# -7-7-7-7-10~7-7-7-7-14-12-10-|
C# -x-x-x-x-x--x-x-x-x--x--x-x--| 2x
G# -5-5-5-5-8~-5-5-5-5-12-10-8--|
Then:
F# -5-5-5-5-10~5-5-5-5-14-12-10-|
C# -x-x-x-x-x--x-x-x-x--x--x-x--|
G# -3-3-3-3-8~-3-3-3-3-12-10-8--|
And then:
F# -7-7-7-7-10~7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7
C# -x-x-x-x-x--x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x
G# -5-5-5-5-8~-5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5
Repeat this whole thing one more time And at the end of the second instead of
keeping on the C# octave:
C# -3-0-0-0-3-0-0-0
G# -3-0-0-0-3-0-0-0
C# -3-0-0-0-3-0-0-0
P.M.* * * * * * * *
Chorus:
Both guitars:
C# -5555x5555x5555x2-3-2-0~
G# -5555x5555x5555x2-3-2-0~
C# -5555x5555x5555x2-3-2-0~
at the end of this the lead guitar, instead of hitting the low C# power chord,
goes to the C# octave, and does this rhythm (it follow's the notes of Justin's
singing:
F# -7-7-7-7-7-9-9-9-9-9-10-10-10-10-10-14-14-14-12~-7
C# -x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x
G# -5-5-5-5-5-7-7-7-7-7--8--8--8--8--8-12-12-12-10~-5
When the lead reaches the F# octave (at the 10th fret) the rhythm goes
through the chorus again, and at the end of this time around, the lead does
some harmonics, and then the entire thing is repeated, ending with holding out
the C# power chord.
Back to verse, then chorus
Bridge:
Both Guitars
C# -2-3-3-0
G# -2-3-3-0 x3
C# -2-3-3-0
P.M * * * *
Next:
C# -------------------| C# -----------|
G# -------------------| x3 G# -----------|
C# -000003000050000232| C# 00000300005|
P.M.****************** ***********
Then
C# -2-3-2-000003000050000|
G# -2-3-2-000003000050000| x4
C# -2-3-2-000003000050000|
On the 4th time at the F# power chord (at the 5th fret) palm mute an open power
chord twice and then go into some sort of dissonant metalish chord on the
higher strings. Then back into the chorus and ending on a open power chord.
So that's that. The intro and verse sound 100% accurate, while the chorus
and bridge are probably 90%. Comments and criticism welcome! God Bless!
