Title: The Way

Artist: Fastball

Finally, here is the new and improved tab for The Way. I've tried to

incorporate all the ideas people have sent in, and I have completed

both solos.

Chords used for distortion guitar:

F#m xx4222

Bm xx4432

C# xx3121

F# xx4322

E 022100

A x02220

D xx0232

If you don't have a pianist, play these on another guitar with a

capo on the 2nd fret:

Em 022000

Am x02210

B x24442

E 022100

D xx0232

G 320003

C x32010

Sokolowski suggested that the C# and F# would sound better as C#7

and F#7 respectively. It's your call:

C#7 x4342x

F#7 xx2322

That would be

B7 X21202

E7 020100

on the guitar with the capo.

Stuff you should know:

p=pull off

h=hammer on

t=trill

b=bend

/=slide up

\=slide down

Here's how it works: On the CD there is a piano that pounds out the

chords throughout the song. Ivan Hyde said that he saw them playing

on MTV with a capo on the 2nd fret, so I suggest using an accoustic

or clean electric with a capo on the 2nd fret if you don't have a

piano. I've put the chords for use with the capo under the regular

chords.

The guitar on the CD is an overdriven electric. It comes in on the

2nd verse and plays arppegios on the chords during the verses. On

the chorus it usually just strums along, but sometimes it breaks

into an arppegio. BTW, Arionne330 tabbed out the arppegios during

the verses. The solos are played by a different guitar, but you

could get away with playing them on this one. Do NOT use a capo on

this guitar.

One other thing, I had some inquiries about what a trill is.

Basically, you just hammer-on and pull-off a couple of times between

the 2 notes. Listen to the song and you'll see what I mean.
