Emmylou Harris

Country singer/songwriter Emmylou Harris heralded summer/fall US 2007 tour dates. The trek will support release of artist’s retrospective collection of disks, which is scheduled to hit stores in September. Emmylou Harris will start on July 4 with concert in Franklin (TN). Tour itinerary consists of 15 dates, includes apperance on Newport Folk Festival (August 5), on Red River Revel Arts Festival in Shreveport (September 29), and final concert October 20 in New Bedford (MA). Emmylou’s box-set “Songbird: Rare Tracks and Forgotten Gems” consists of 4 CDs, 1 DVD, and will hit stores September 18. In an interview to the Billboard.com Harris said about the collection “For the most part, none of these songs have ever been on a compilation before. I call them my orphans, songs that maybe I didn’t even perform that much but I loved enough to record in the studio”.
