Disturbed and Black Label Society Confirmed for Ozzfest
Disturbed frontman, David Draiman confirmed his band will tour the Ozzfest circuit this summer.
Draiman revealed his forthcoming tour schedule to a Seattle Radio on January 7. The pierced singer stated, ""It looks like at this point that we are confirmed for Ozzfest this summer, so that should be a good thing. It's looking like that's gonna happen, so'"
Disturbed last played Ozzfest in 2003 on the main stage with Ozzy Osbourne, Korn, Marilyn Manson, and Chevelle.
Black Label Society booking agent Troy Blakely at APA has told Billboard magazine that the band will be taking part in this summer's Ozzfest before doing additional North American dates in the fall. "We don't know how we're going to do it yet or who we're going to be out with, but that's the plan, we're going to be back here in the fall headlining," he said.
Atreyu have also been offered a slot on the 2006 edition of the "Ozzfest", though they have yet to decide as to whether or not they will join the trek. MTV.com reports that they will mull it over between now and March 28, when "Deathgrip" hits stores via Victory Records. Atreyu is also slated for the Taste of Chaos trek, which kicks off February 16 in San Diego and features Deftones, As I Lay Dying, Pelican, Dredg and others. The singer said the band is prepared for whatever response the new material gets.
