Dinosaur Jr - Almost Ready guitar tab

Dinosaur Jr. - Almost Ready

Tabbed by Kerwin Mendoza

alright, first of, this is my version of the song, the WAY I PLAY IT. it's not 100%

since i only bothered to figure out the melody and added my own things in between. i'll just

the chords for rhythm.

LEAD (use vibrato all over)

VERSE:

Open G, Open G, Open D, Open C

CHORUS:

I think J plays either power chords or even just the root notes based on live performances.

G5, G5, D5, C5

BRIDGE: There's some notes played during Em (it's not hard too hard to figure out) and i

bend the A on the 3rd string instead of playing a G the first time around.

Em, Em, C, G

Em, Em, C, D D4 D

GUITAR SSOOLLLOOO!!

Note that this isn't TOTALLY correct, but this is how i play it. I usually play the main

of the solo and then play around with the Em pentatonic or the G major scale.

a good old pentatonic run. i stole this from good times, bad times by zeppelin but it's

pretty general lick i think. these are more or less triplets.

-------12h14p12--14--14----------------------------------------------------|

-14-14---------------------------------------------------------------------|

---------------------------------------------------------------------------|

OR YOU CAN END IT LIKE THIS (if you are so inclined to jam as many notes as possible in four bars)

i usually start playing this around two beats BEFORE the last four bars of the solo so i

fit it all in.

14-14-14--14----------------------------------------------------------------|

----------------------------------------------------------------------------|

and that's it, remember to use crazy vibrato on your bends or just all the time. i use

to compensate for my lack of a big muff or all those other effects.

HAVE FUN. comment if you like, i'd be interested to hear them.
